Now that summer is over, many people are packing away their swimsuits and taking out their sweaters. Fortunately, for Texas, that’s not always the case. For many parts of Texas, fall doesn’t always mean chilly weather and falling leaves, it means beautiful, sunny, breezy weather that is perfect for a day at the beach. So don’t pack those swimsuits and sunglasses away yet, because we’ve gathered the top 5 Texas beaches you must visit this fall season!

1) South Padre Island

While South Padre Island may be a tourist hot spot during the spring and summer, it’s a great destination for the “off season”. Even in October, the temps are in the high 70s and low 80s, which is perfect for swimming! In addition to the pretty beaches and great weather, South Padre Island is also known for its abundance in wildlife. So take out the beach towel and camera and look out for those dolphins and sea turtles!
