A base charge of $9.95 is included in the average price for this plan, as well as other recurring charges, excluding state and local sales taxes and Miscellaneous Gross Receipts Tax Reimbursement. This 12-month term fixed price will only vary if there are changes in TDU, regulatory fees or a law that requires new or modified costs outside of our control. if i use 600kw in night 9pm to 8am and 500 kw in day time need to know that in free night time the does centerpoint still charges 3.99C per kwh ?

Hello Amir. On the plan called You Got This After Hours 12, prices are exclusive of state and local sales taxes and the Gross Receipts Reimbursement. Average price calculations are based on a total consumption profile over a 12 month period assuming 45% of consumption occurs during the Designated Free Period. Please be advised that you will not be billed for any TDU delivery charges during the designated free period. Designated Free Period is each day from 9:00 PM until 8:59 AM. This is a fixed product – your average price for electricity service each month will vary according to your usage. We hope you find this information useful. If I used 6000 kwh during free hours and only a 50 kwh during non free hours monthly for a year would I only pay electric and TDU charges for 50 kwh monthly?

Good morning! Yes, with a plan that includes a free period, you will only pay the usage during the time that is not included in that free period. For example, if your plan is free nights, all your usage every night from 9:00 pm to 8:59 am will be without any charge and all the usage during the day will have current charges applied. We don't use a lot of electricity, usually <600KWH per month. Is there a plan for low users?

This is a great question! At this time, we don't have any specific rate plans for customers that have low usage. However, our rates are fixed, so you would have the benefit of having a lower bill, the lower your usage is. Thanks! -Kate
