Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid First Choice Power 24 month fixed rate plan! I absolutely do NOT recommend the 24 month fixed rate plan. I chose First Choice Power 24 month fixed rate plan on a website with a number of possible electricity providers. The First Choice Power rate per kilowatt hour for 1000 kwh on that website was very low for the 24 month fixed rate plan. However, my first monthly bill for a bit over 1000 kwh was over 600 percent - that's right - over six hundred percent higher rate per kwh than the rate per kwh noted on that website. Do NOT sign up for this plan.

I am very pleased with the service I have received but my favorite thing about first choice power is the app that you can download and view your usage and also enroll into the auto bill pay for convenience.

What if m not satisfied with the power company I'm with now how can we switch. We are both seniors and our bill is outrageous.

When switching from another company, how soon is the switch?

We are living in an apartment right now, if we move to a house during this contract, can we change the address, or will we need to cancel and then set up a new contract?
