At First Choice Power, we believe in giving you the power, and this includes how you receive and pay your bills. We want you to pick the formats that make the most sense to you, your schedule, and your life. We even offer prepaid plans that let you pay for electricity on your terms in the amounts that make sense for your life.

Mail? Online? Espanol? Simply log into your Online Account Manager and let us know by updating your billing preferences.

And if you're a Power-To-Go® customer, you'll receive regular notifications via text message or e-mail instead of monthly bills so you know how much money is in your account.

How Do You Want to Pay?


Automatic Credit Card Payments

Make it easy on yourself. Login to your Online Account Manager and select the Automatic Credit Card or Bank account option. Once we've set you up, your credit card, debit card, or bank account will be automatically charged for the amount of your bill each month.

Mint Bills Phone Application

Pay your bill using Mint Bills - a super simple application available for your smartphone or table. Go to to download the application. You'll get a $10 bill credit from Mint Bills when you pay your first bill to First Choice power using this app.

Login to your Online Account Manager and pay your bill now with a debit card or credit card.

By Phone

Call us toll-free at (866) 469-2464 to pay your bill using your debit card or credit card. There's no charge.

*Payments made prior to 7 p.m. will be posted within 2 hours. Payments made after 7:01 p.m. will be posted the following business day by 6 a.m. For processing this payment, Western Union charges a $1 fee and Fidelity XPressPay charges a $1.50 fee. Additional third-party fees may apply. Carnival, Minyard and Sack n Save won't accept payments for bills that are part of a disconnect notice.

Average Billing

We help you take the guess work out of your monthly bill with Average Billing. This program smooths out your seasonally high and low electricity bills by making your payments similar month to month. This helps you predict, and manage, your budget better.

How does it work?

  1. Each month we average the usage of your current month plus the previous 11 months.
  2. Next, we multiply the average usage by the rate that you signed up for.
  3. Lastly, we add or subtract 1/12th of the accumulated difference between your average bills and your actual bills. This difference will fluctuate over time as your actual usage differs from the average amount you will be billed.

If there is no previous billing in your name at the service address, or you do not have 11 months bill amounts at the service address, we will take the previous usage at that service address (if available) and apply your current price to calculate your average monthly amount.

Care to Share Fund

Is your heart as big as Texas? We created the Care to Share Fund, a customer-funded bill payment assistance program that helps pay an electricity bill for residential customers who have hit a bump in the road and qualify for this program. You can contribute to the fund each month by checking the box on your payment form, and include this tax-deductible amount with your payment. And from those who will receive assistance, thank you.
