As a Texas electric choice for providing retail electricity, First Choice Power began serving customers as a retail electric provider across Texas on Jan. 1, 2002, when deregulation of the electric industry was introduced in Texas. First Choice Power, Special Purpose, L.P. is the affiliated retail electric provider of TNMP. Its traditional service areas were the areas served by TNMP in north, south and west Texas.
