We Have a New Look and A New Focus
on Being "Simply Better"
Your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you. First Choice Power has rolled out a new look for its logo and a new tagline, "Simply Better." This new look reflects our bold promise to be better in ways that mean the most to you, our customers … We are simply better than before and we are simply better than other electric companies.
Some of the ways we’re committed to delivering on this promise are:
- fixed-rate plans that give you price certainty
- a new Simply Better Rewards TM program for you to earn points redeemable for popular merchandise
- Quick and simple enrollments for new customers .
- Superior customer service through our new Texas-based call center and centralized payment centers .
We’ll be making improvements to FirstChoicePower.com later this year to make it easier for you to manage your account online.
You’ll continue to hear from us in coming months on new ways we’re making our customer service and programs simply better.

First Choice Power Selected for
Houston Consumer Choice Initiative
Residents of Houston are now learning what you already know – First Choice Power is the "Simply Better" electric company. We were recently chosen to participate in the City of Houston’s Consumer Choice Initiative, a program to encourage Houstonians to save on electricity costs by comparing offers of various electric providers.
Only a select few companies met the city’s stringent standards of financial strength and customer service. Among them, First Choice Power is the only provider to offer residents two guaranteed, low fixed-price offers – one for 24 months and one for 12 months. The plan is similar to fixed-price offers First Choice Power has in other parts of the state.
Along with these plans, customers (new and current) also are eligible to enroll in First Choice Power’s Simply Better RewardsTM program to earn points redeemable for name-brand merchandise.
Current customers: Remember, you can earn additional points in First Choice Power's Simply Better RewardsTM program by signing up online at www.SimplyBetterRewards.com, then referring friends and family to First Choice Power.* You will receive 1,000 bonus points for each new customer you refer. Now through May 31, 2006, you can earn an additional 15,000 points by referring five new customers. That will give you 20,000 points in all, enough to get an iPod, or any one of the other diamond level rewards.
* New customers must identify the existing customer who referred them to First Choice Power when signing up for service, and the new customer must remain a customer for at least three months before points are awarded.

First Choice Power Volunteers Make Earth a Better Place
First Choice Power volunteers in Pilot Point competed in the April 1 "Don't Mess with Texas Trash-Off" in conjunction with Earth Day events slated for this month.
Volunteers picked everything from postage stamps and cigarette butts to bottle caps and gum wrappers off the streets, and filled bags with bottles, food wrappings and old newspapers. Jan Messman, customer service representative, won a prize for collecting one of the larger pieces of trash – a bedframe. She was awarded a two-nights-free stay at Lake Ray Roberts.
By the time they were finished, the 150-plus Trash Off volunteers had filled almost 300 bags with an estimated 4 tons of trash.
"The streets sure look a lot cleaner," Jan said. "Our efforts really made a difference."
