First Choice Power recently launched its new customer rewards program, Simply Better Rewards, and the response from our customers has been outstanding. Simply Better Rewards allows First Choice Power customers to earn points just for paying their electric bills. Simply Better Rewards points can be redeemed for more than 400 name-brand items in our online catalog.

Bonus Points: It’s not too late to register and earn points for recent payments. Register by June 30, 2006, and you will receive all of the points that you have earned by paying your bills since April. Your account will be credited with 100 bonus points when you enroll. You also will be entered into a sweepstakes for five lucky customers to win 10 times their point total that will be applied in July 2006.

Customers who have already joined Simply Better Rewards are already entered in the sweepstakes.

Give Us a Recipe and Enter to Win

This year we're cooking up some fun in exchange for customer recipes for First Choice Power's annual cookbook. That means that any First Choice Power customer who submits a recipe for the cookbook – either at one of our local offices or online – will have an opportunity to win bonus Simply Better Reward points.

Now through June 30, customers can come by any First Choice Power office to drop off recipes. Or they can go online to submit recipes. All submissions will be reviewed and as many will be included in the cookbook as possible. 

Then, on July 5, one customer name will be drawn from among those who submitted recipes for a chance to win bonus Simply Better Rewards points. Another winner will be drawn from among those who submitted recipes online. Winners will be notified by July 7.

First Choice Power Employees Have Fun While Helping Others

First Choice Power supports communities throughout the year with programs such as Classroom Innovation Grants and Partnership Grants. This spring was particularly busy. In addition to providing grants, three employee groups in Angleton joined with other volunteers in the recent Relay for Life competition and raised more than $190,000 for the American Cancer Society. 

Employees were motivated by a willingness to help a deserving organization, but as an added motivation, a group of company managers agreed to take a pie in the face from the team that raised the most money. That’s dedication!
