100 Recycling Boxes Will Collect Fairgoers' Plastic, Aluminum
(ANGLETON, TEXAS) – First Choice Power and the Brazoria County Fair are partnering this year to reduce the number of plastic bottles and aluminum cans going to landfills. Fairgoers can do their part by disposing of their bottles and cans in the First Choice Power, red “Recycle Here” boxes.
“The Brazoria County Fair is a treasured Texas tradition, and First Choice Power is proud to partner with the fair to do our part to help protect our environment,” said Gary Patterson, director of sales for First Choice Power and Brazoria County resident.
Every year about 250,000 people visit the Brazoria County Fair. This year in addition to the recycling bins, First Choice Power is sponsoring the Great Cats Exhibit, a special educational exhibit highlighting habitat protection, and First Choice Power Wristband Nights on Friday, October 19, and Saturday, October 20.
“We know with the help of First Choice Power that we will significantly reduce the trash at the fair while making a positive impact on the environment,” said Kella Beach, director of the Brazoria County Fair.
First Choice Power’s Simply Better Recycling Program includes free recycling boxes for community events, schools and festivals.
