Healthy Communities of BrownsvilleHealthy Communities of Brownsville, in partnership with Community Development Corp of Brownsville, received a Reduce Your Use Grant to purchase energy-efficient light bulbs and programmable thermostats for new homeowners in Brownsville.“We are going to partner with Community Development Corp. of Brownsville to educate new homeowners on being good neighbors and being environmentally smart,” said Rose Timmer of Healthy Communities of Brownsville. “We plan to participate in these classes and would like to give out energy efficient light bulbs, programmable thermostats and make homeowners aware of recycling efforts in our community.” This will be an ongoing project, she added. There are sessions every month.  Members of the Brownsville Healthy communities board accept a First Choice Power Reduce Your Use Grant from Mya Griffin of First Choice Power. |
