Clifton Main Street ForumClifton Main Street will use its 2009 Reduce Your Use Grant to install energy-efficient lighting for Heritage Plaza. Heritage Plaza is the entrance into Clifton's downtown area. The project will consist of seven metal halide fixtures to light the park area and the Bruce Greene sculpture "On the Banks of the Bosque" in the middle of the Plaza. The forum also will install seven 100-watt metal halides instead of 500-watt quartz to enhance each oak tree. The savings for this project would be about $3,500 a year compared with regular lighting.“It’s the focal point of the city,” said Damaris Neelley of Clifton Main Street Form. “It’s good for our community. It’s good for our visitors.” From left to right: Todd Clift of First Choice Power, Leanne Donner, Damaris Neelley, Julie Conley, Bridget Durham, Mayor Fred Volcansek, Clint Tunnel |
