School Supply DriveOur employees across the state donated school supplies for two school districts that have students in need of classroom tools. Our employees will deliver the supplies to Valley Mills and Terrell County school districts this month.Employees donated hundreds of supplies, including 200 index cards, 27 packages of paper, 48 notepads, 432 pencils, 368 pieces of construction paper, 122 glue sticks and 625 crayons. The school supply drive is one of many employee-led volunteer projects that First Choice Power participates in to support its local communities. First Choice Power Donates School Supplies to Terrell County SchoolFirst Choice Power donated hundreds of school supplies this week to Terrell County Independent School District.Donated supplies include: backpacks, binders, rules, scissors, pencils, index cards, folders, paper, pencils, dividers, pens, crayons and glue sticks. The supplies will be used by teachers and students at Sanderson Elementary School. ![]() Mya Griffin, business development manager for Sanderson, and Catherine Carlton, spokesperson for First Choice Power, delivered the supplies during a special assembly at the school. "This is one of the many community engagement projects our employees participate in," Griffin said. First Choice Power employees from across the state donated items for the collection drive. "The First Choice Power school supply drive is one way we support education and the communities we serve," Carlton added. Griffin and Carlton also encouraged all the teachers to apply for First Choice Power Classroom Energy Innovation Grants, worth $2,000. |
