First Choice Power Referral Rewards Program Rules | Terms and Conditions
Please read the rules before participating in the First Choice Power Referral Rewards Program. Participation in the program indicates you accept all program rules, terms and conditions.
First Choice Power Referral Rewards Program allows First Choice Power customers to earn credits by referring new residential customers to First Choice Power.
By participating in this program, you agree that your name and account number will be used for enrollment in this program by the customer(s) you refer. Program Rules:
- First Choice Power may terminate your participation or cancel the program at any time.
- Only single-family and multi-family residential customers are eligible to receive a referral credit.
- All commercial accounts, including continuing service agreements, are not eligible to receive a referral credit.
- The referred customer must not have been a First Choice Power customer in the prior 180 days.
- The referred customer can only generate one referral credit in any 12-month period.
- Only one referral credit can be applied for a particular referred ESI ID in any 12- month period.
- The referred customer must enroll online at http://firstchoicepower.com/referrallanding.html
- All other methods of enrollment will not result in the application of a referral credit to the referring customer’s account.
- The referred customer must complete the entire online referral program registration form, including the referring customer’s full name and First Choice Power account number. Incomplete registrations will void eligibility for the referral credit.
- Referral credits shall only be applied to eligible accounts that are identified on the online referral program registration form.
- The referral credit is limited to the amounts listed by residence type below:
- Multiple-family home: $25 (apartments; duplex; efficiency)
- Single-family home: $50 (one- and two-story home; town home; condominium; mobile homes)
- The referring customer will receive the appropriate credit amount on his/her bill about 30 days after the new customer has maintained satisfactory credit and payment status* for the first three months of service with First Choice Power.
- Referral credit will only be applied to active, eligible accounts with satisfactory credit status and payment history* with First Choice Power in the prior 12-month period.
- Program credits are administered according to PNMR/First Choice Power accounting and tax rules with respect to credit amounts applied as income.
- Referral credit is only eligible for referred customers on term pricing products of 12 months or longer.
- Payment is a one-time payment for customer acquisition. There is no payment for customer renewals.
- Customers can earn as much as $599 in credits per calendar year from First Choice Power. (This includes Holiday Bonus and all other customer billing credits.)
- The last credit applied before the $599 limit may be a variable amount to ensure total for the calendar year does not exceed $599 in credits.
- All rules outlined on referral cards must be followed to be eligible for a referral credit.
