Reduce Your Use Grants™ provide funding for Texas nonprofits to purchase energy-efficiency products and services. In turn, this allows our community partners to reduce their energy costs and spend saved funds on programs directly impacting their clients. In short, everybody wins.
How? Reduce Your Use Grants™ help our partners pass the savings on by relying on energy-efficiency products. And less energy use means less cost, which translates to more money to serve the client. Priority will be given to First Choice Power customers, agencies with a low-income focus and agencies where our employees and retirees volunteer.
The winners of the 2010 Reduce Your Use Grants™ were announced in May so they could make their upgrades in time for the summer high-usage period. Texas nonprofits, 501(c)(3), and chambers of commerce, 501(c)(6), in areas serviced by First Choice Power are eligible to apply again in 2011.
