Put a Little Mud on the Tires
As the Title Sponsor of the 7th Annual Great Texas Mud Race, we put more than a little mud on our tires at the Exposition Fairgrounds in Nacogdoches, Texas. With hundreds of racers and thousands of spectators, the race featured side-by-side mud drag racing and bog drag racing tracks. We can’t decide if we were more impressed with how big the trucks were or how much mud they kicked up as they raced around the all-dirt track.
We got to the track early and manned the official First Choice Power booth, where we handed out koozies and Frisbees. We also used the event as an opportunity to give back to the community. For every attendee who came to the Mud Race, we donated one meal to Harvest House in Nacogdoches, a partner agency of the East Texas Food Bank. In total, we donated nearly 4,000 meals thanks to all the mud race lovers who joined us at the competition
“A lot of sponsors give their money, and are simply happy with the exposure on the media buys. We enjoyed the way you met the crowds as they arrived,” said Dennis Hinson, producer of the race. “[We] really look forward to the possibility of First Choice Power participating in the 2011 Great Texas Mud Race!”
