Big Fun on the Bayou

We always look fore-ward (get it?) to the Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic. This year’s tournament was a big one, with 576 golfers on 145 teams playing the Bayou Golf Club in Texas City. Things kicked off on Wednesday, Sept. 29 and due to the number of participants, the sold-out tournament was played in four flights. The event raised money to help area businesses through the Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce.

First Choice Power was the Eagle Sponsor, and our long-time friend Hazel Surratt did an amazing job decorating our tent on the 18th hole. With a Gilligan’s Island theme, it was an oasis on those hot and sunny days. We were excited to hand out golf balls, golf towels, golf tees, sodas and even some mini footballs (for those who were sick of golf).
