Take a Sad Song, and Make it Better
We were proud to participate in the St. Jude’s Night of Hope Gala and fundraiser in Dallas on May 14, 2010. We extended invitations to a dozen customers to the Noche de Esperanza event, which featured food from top chefs in the Dallas area and music from Young Strings, Havana NRG! and the DJ mixes of The Global Café.
St. Jude’s Research Hospital is one of the premier pediatric cancer facilities in America and around the world, and the event raised money to help families and children who can’t afford proper medical care. First Choice Power matched all customer donations for the event, donating a total of $5,000 for the cause.
“St. Jude’s is committed to helping moms, we’re proud to help an organization that’s so committed to the community,” said, Andres Reyes, our director of Hispanic Marketing and Strategic Alliances and a board member of Night of Hope.
“Serving on the board has been a great experience, and the Noche de Esperanza gala was a truly moving way to support a great cause. St. Jude’s goes across borders to help children who have no economic way of dealing with cancer. As a company, First Choice Power also reaches out to everyone. Both organizations understand the importance of diversity,” Reyes said.
