For One Noche Only
This year’s Noche de Fiesta was a fiesta to remember. This was the 19th year for the annual fundraiser for Catholic Charities, a nonprofit offering essential community services to the families of Tarrant County.
Held at the Historic Hilton Hotel in downtown Fort Worth, festivities included a deluxe Mexican dinner, live music and silent and live auctions. More than 650 guests helped to raise more than $493,000 at the event, which will help the organization meet the expanding needs of the community. First Choice Power offered our support as a Silver Sponsor, inspired by employees Lance McGee and Jeff Schiefelbein, who have each made personal donations to the organization.
“I’ve seen the great work that Catholic Charities does in the community, and I wanted to help them meet their goal for this year,” Jeff said. “The Noche de Fiesta is always a really fun night, and it’s exciting that First Choice Power was there as a sponsor.”
We were happy to be joined at the event by our sales partner The Lock Group. “We enjoyed getting to know the folks from The Lock Group better while also participating in a good cause,” said Holly Reynolds, indirect business development manager. “It meant a lot to do something for the Catholic Charities.” Holly was excited to find out after the event that she was the winner of a Mary Kay beauty package in the silent auction!
Catholic Charities has been serving the Diocese of Fort Worth since 1910. Last year, the programs served more than 110,000 children, families, elderly, refugees and immigrants in our community. The organization focuses on preventing child abuse, providing health services to individuals with medical needs, sheltering abused and neglected children, resettling refugees and housing the elderly and disabled. The Noche de Fiesta fundraiser is essential to help these children and families.
