We Like Helping Neighbors, Too!

At First Choice Power, we’re all about helping out our friends and neighbors. So it’s especially fitting that we were the Title Sponsor of the first annual Love Thy Neighbor Charity Golf Tournament benefitting the Community Kitchen of the Salvation Army of Lewisville. The event kicked off bright and early on Friday, Oct 14 at the Westridge Golf Course in McKinney, and the four-person scramble tournament raised over $25,000 to support people in need in our community.

The Salvation Army service center in Lewisville provides food, clothing and financial assistance to families and individuals in need. In addition to the food pantry and snack bag distribution, the center provides a hot, nutritious lunch three days a week (and five days a week in the summer) to anyone who may need a meal. Many children depend on the free or reduced price lunch they receive during the school year in order to get proper nutrition. During the summer, the Salvation Army’s lunch program may be the only meal they get.
