More Than Eight Seconds of Fun

There was a lot of action during the 2010 Desert Thunder CBR Bull Bash at the Fort Stockton Civic Center. First Choice Power was a Sign Sponsor of the sold-out championship bull riding event, which was part of the CBR’s Horizon Series, a series designed to find new bull riding talent.

The evening got off to an exciting start, with the long round providing 12 qualified rides, including two for 90 points or better! Then came the Championship Round, with four riders posting scores of more than 90 points. We were kind of surprised that series leader Luke Kelly didn’t make the Championship round, but Jake Littlefield put on a great show, posting a 91-point ride on his first ride and a 92-pointer in the Championship round to win the event. We were sure glad we didn’t have to hang on to that bull — his rides seemed to last way longer than 8 seconds!
