Insulation, CFLs and weather-stripping are the game plan for the Zamora family. Those are the enhancements they made with the help of their FC Dallas champion, Marvin Chavez, and the First Choice Power energy coach, Entrenador Energético.
The Zamoras are competing with three other families to see who can make the most energy-efficiency improvements during our reality show: Energìa Goleadora.
Proud mom, Elianette Zamora, said the competition has united her family more as they learn how to be energy-efficient.
Before, the family would leave all computers and TVs turned on most of the day, she said, noting they didn’t understand how much electricity they were consuming.
Now, she said the family understands that every bit helps to be more energy efficient. They make the effort to turn off all electronics and have placed in light motion detectors to help have the lights turned off. They’ve also downsized to one printer, from four.
Tune in to Univision 23 in Dallas on Thursday and Friday at 7 a.m. to see the progress the Zamoras have made. Miss an episode or live outside Dallas, you can watch Energìa Goleadora episodes at www.univision.com uniclave Energìa Goleadora.
