Editor’s Note: Starting today we have a new series on the blog called FAIL.
FAIL will share photos and stories of energy-efficiency and green failures. What’s an energy-efficiency or green failure? It’s leaving the nightlight on in your office during the day when your office lights are on. (See photo at left.)
Another example: Setting the thermostat at 62 during the summer.
What’s a green failure? Using Styrofoam that takes forever to decompose and is not recyclable. Speaking of recycling, another failure would be throwing newspapers out instead of recycling them. (Using them for your new puppy is OK, we call that reusing.)
FAIL can be seen in your house, around your office and present in your community. They are blatant wasters of energy or resources.
When you see a FAIL, snap a photo, jot down a note and send it to us at info@FirstChoicePower.com.
With Earth Day coming up on April 22, we challenge you to see ways you FAIL, share it with us and tell us how you’re making a commitment to be more green.
