The Lewisville Chamber of Commerce is knocking out high wattage light bulb use, and like great boxers such as Muhammad Ali, we’re in their corner.
This month we notified our 26 Reduce Your Use GrantTM recipients, and yesterday we kicked off our Texas tour to deliver all the grants to our nonprofit partners.
Reduce Your Use Grants provide funding for nonprofits and chambers to purchase energy-efficiency products and services to help our partners save energy.
The Lewisville Chamber of Commerce was our first stop. Jacob Davis, our Lewisville manager, presented Matt McCormick, chamber president, with $2,000 during the monthly luncheon at the Circle R Ranch in Flower Mound.
The Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce will use its grant to retrofit its current fixtures with T-8 lamps, reducing usage from 40 watts to 28 watts.
Tell us, what would you do with $2,000 to be more energy efficient?
