If you’re like me you have a few extra cans of beans, veggies, fruit, soup or chili in your pantry that you can give to someone who doesn’t know where their next meal is coming from.
Texas is the second most hungry state in the county.
Tomorrow is the largest single-day canned food drive. And we invite you to join us in helping end hunger.
“Stamp Out Hunger” is the National Association of Letter Carriers annual food drive.
Your mailman will collect your donation when he picks up your mail on Saturday.
- Simply place non-perishable food products in a bag
- Leave it in/by your mailbox
Every meal counts: We want to know how many cans/boxes/meals you donate.
Visit us on Facebook and post your donation count (and a photo of your donation sitting next to your mailbox if you can!)
We’ll report back next week on how many cans we all made to this great, important initiative.

So, if you’re also like me, you heard about this easy way to give back and you want to participate, but you might forget about it as you start your weekend. So, make a note. I’ve got a Post-it to take home with me. Please do the same.
