First Choice Power Fund
During the last 25 years, the PNM Resources Foundation has helped improve the quality of life in New Mexico communities by supporting nonprofit organizations. In 2005, with the acquisition of First Choice Power and TNMP, the PNM Resources Foundation expanded its scope to include parts of Texas. The First Choice Power Fund is a division of the PNM Resources Foundation.
PNM shareholders created the PNM Foundation as a separate, nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation governed by a board of trustees comprised of employees of PNM. In 2005, the name was changed to the PNM Resources Foundation. Customer funds are never used as a part of the PNM Resources Foundation endowment.
